Job Description:

The incumbent will be responsible to perform all administrative work to support the school with his/her following administrative term:

• Coordinate and communicate with the Central Support Services Office (CSSO) and the unit heads to produce an annual operation budget plan for the school.

• Strategize an effective implementation and monitoring system of school plans and review the expenditures of planned and unplanned activities.

• Coordinate effectively with other departments, facilitate and assign responsibilities to employees within the department.

• Coordinate with the school section’s heads to develop and implement cost-effective long-term and/or short-term action plans for aspects such as the school’s security, maintenance and the procurement of the school’s assets, and the like.

• Coordinate with relevant departments of the school and the Central Office’s communication department to produce various informative booklets, fact sheets, posters, newsletters, announcements, and the like.

• Communicate effectively with Governmental Agencies, Legal Departments, Legislative Agencies, Employees' Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI), Sindh Employees Social Security Institution (SESSI), Ministry of Education, Jamati Local & Regional Institutions, AKES, P’s Central Office, other units of Aga Khan Schools, and other AKDN institutions;

• Coordinate with parents and Jamati Institutions (such as the Local Education Board and Social Welfare Board) with regards to fee remission and outstanding fee cases.

• Ensure timely payments and renewal of all contracts related to external services hired.

Reaching out to the remotest areas of the country, AKES,P has been providing quality education in the region for the past 110 years. It is a direct provider of education for nearly 36,000 students from pre-primary to higher secondary levels and facilitates access to higher education through the provision of scholarships, hostels and other educational support services.With more than 2,000 employees, of whom over 1,500 areteachers, AKES,P is also supported by over 2,000 volunteers.

In Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral, the first AKES,P schools were setup in the 1940s; since then they have contributed significantly toincreasing the literacy rates and social development in theremote, mountainous, harsh and ecologically fragile regions ofNorthern Pakistan. AKES,P currently operates 151 schools inGilgit-Baltistan and Chitral, providing education to over 27,000students, of which 54% are girls. Through these efforts, AKES,Pis continuing to play a critical role in women’s development inthe region.

In the Southern Region, AKES,P operates four schools in Karachi,three in Hyderabad and rural Sindh and one in Hafizabad,Punjab, with over 8,900 students. All AKES,P schools follow theNational Curriculum but place special emphasis on the teachingof English, Mathematics, Science and the increasing use ofInformation and Communication Technologies (ICT).
